Sažetak
The earliest manuscript of the pastoral visits of Porec dates in 1603 and the next one in 1622. The following preserved manuscripts indicate certain regularity in performing the visits, allowing us to trace the changes in the furnishings of the churches, especially the altars. The cases of the main and the lateral altars in Savicenta reveal interesting transformations in their state and preservation. The note about the main altar in Funtana, dating in 1622, turned out to be essential in tracing the activity of the painter that executed its altarpiece. The notes about the altars in parish church in Visnjan with the altarpieces by Marco Vecellio and Giovanni Contarini are also important for dating these works. The only preserved manuscript of the pastoral visits of the Diocese of Pula dating in 1658/1659 tells about a very attentive and wise personality of the general vicar, Francesco Bartiroma that visited the territory instead of the sickly bishop Alvise Marcello. Apart from very clear and detailed instructions for the local clergy, he was also able to express his opinion on the quality of artistic objects.
