Sažetak
Alfalfa in Croatia is sown from 3, 85 to 4, 35% of arable land according to year.Lands sown with alfalfa will not be increased in the next period.Alfalfa yields are expected to increase per land unit.Fertilisation of home varieties in the production is poorly used(about 40%).Selection of varieties, application of proper techniques of production and management, and use of genetic possibility should increase at 65 to 70%.The Republic of Croatia satisfies by 50% its needs for alfalfa seeds and is supposed to be autosufficient in the next 3-4 years.
