Sažetak
In the Republic of Croatia there are 1, 510, 000 ha under grasslands.In the region of Slavonia and Baranya 91, 006 ha are under grasslands. The investigations of fertilization influence on forage yield and quality were on natural grassland where dominated species from Liliatae and Magnoliatae genus with low green fodder quality.fertilization increased the yield of first cut.The highest yield was achieved by fertilization with NPK nutrients in amounts of 120, 120, 120 kgha-1(18.66 tha-1).It was by 20.8% higher than unfertilized variant.Grass share in the yield was the highest in the first year (68.2%) whereas herbaceous plants share was higher in the second and third year (41.3 and 44.4%).
