Sažetak
In today's globalization framework, a Geo-Informational System (GIS) represents an integral part of a modern scientific development. It is based on a database processing within the areas of the smallest fractals belonging to different areas of human interests, all this with a purpose of presenting themselves, united within the Geo-Informational System, on a global level. In our example, we have processed, as a fractal element, a place called Kopačevo, a settlement within the District of Bilje, and its habitants, all of which makes one whole ethnic value, not only for Kopački Rit, Baranya, and Eastern Croatia, but also for larger environments. Kopačevo is a village interweaved into Kopački Rit - a nature reserve unique in Europe, and amongst a few in the world, by its unexplored contents, and biological and ecological systems - interweaved with the finest threads, connecting people, the swamp, and its whole biological and ecological systems into one unique and indivisible unit. Multidisciplinarity and universality of GIS will allow anyone in the world who is interested in a global level, to gain information about the smallest fractals - a life of the people on the swamp edge, about their lives' contents and ethnic values.
