The study presents analysis of the crithical facturs that affects the distribution and presence of bottlenose dolphins in the area of Lošinj archipelago. The study presents all available knowledge on natural, cultural and socio-economic resources of the area and identifies the areas of uncertainty in creation of the future protected area
