Sažetak
The prevalence of Sarcocystis sp. was assessed in fox from northern Croatia (the City of Varaždin). The intestine of 50 (29 male and 21 female) foxes aged 1-5 years, killed during the rabies control campaign, were examined. Sarcocystis sp. was identified in 62% of the fox intestinal samples examined. There was no sex difference in the rate of invasion. However, the rate of invasion differed significantly between the animals aged one year (47 %), and those aged two (71 %) and 3-5 years (71 %).
