Sažetak
Basic differences in the appearance and the properties during use and care between the piece-dyed and printed fabrics and the fabrics woven from differently dyed yarns are presented in the article. Basic principles of patterning single-colour and multicolour fabrics woven from differently coloured threads – patterning with patterns of warping and weaving, patterning with weave and patterning with the combination of both are described. The influence of the count, the warp and the weft threads density, and the weave on colour blending, visual appearance and colour values of woven surfaces is explained. The method of calculating the shares of colour components on a fabric surface which is helpful in predicting colour values produced by blending differently coloured threads on its surface, the method of their measuring and the possibilities of practical use are investigated.
