Sažetak
Globalization as a process of creating human, economic and informatic systems and integrating peoples and states in supranational systems creates considerable dilemma for Croatia to solve. Accepting the inevitability of globalization, with its both negative and positive effects for small and less developed countries, this process opens the question of preserving national interests. It is clear that to stay aside for each country, including Croatia, could have serious consequences. Huge advancements of globalization represents a quick development of democracy in all countries and strengthens the protection of human rights. Globalization does not threaten survival and state autonomy of smaller nations and countries - the ones which are aware of their national identity and which develop democracy. They can accept globalization without fear. Technological revolution especially accelerates the process of globalization through the development of informatic and communication technology, or through the creation of an informatic society. The reach of informatic technologies increases with every wave of innovations. They are the largest prime movers of globalization and also the mainstay of modern economy.
