Sažetak
Since the Rio Declaration from 1992 the involvement of local communities in conservation management and planning has become a widely accepted principle in the work of protected area managers and planners. The Republic of Croatia is confronted with the challenge of creating civil society, with a special effort to encourage public meetings and discussions, accept common goals and decisions.
