Sažetak
The assumption that structures have deterministic material properties, is implicitly involved in the most calculation of standard finite element analysis. The stochastic analysis is applied to thin plate bending problem. The elastic modulus is assumed to constitute homogenous, two-dimensional stochastic field what means that the response deflection is also stochastic field. It leads to stochastic bilinear operator in the variational formulation of thin plate bending problem. The bilinear operator is coercive and continuous. According Lax-Milgram theorem, existence and uniqueness of weak solution is shown. The randomness of input quantities is involved by local average method. Numerical solutions are represented in terms of expectation, variance and coefficient of variation of response deflection. The quadratic convergence of the sequences of numerical results calculated by increasing the number of finite elements is obtained. The coefficient of variation of response deflection can become larger than coefficient of variation of elastic modulus
