Sažetak
There are more reasons why education technologies have been intensively studied lately. The application of new technologies requires knowledge about them in order to be able to use them properly. Computers play a very important role in almost all jobs. Distance learning implies many various technologies and ways of communication, beginning from the documents sent by mail to modern computerized technologies and other media of distribution of information. In this work the stress has been put on the research of programmed education and the technologies of distance education. The authors have examined the efficiency of programmed teaching in the 4th and 6th class of the elementary school "Šime Budinić" in Zadar. The pupils were divided into two equal groups according to their IQ and previous knowledge of mathematics. A separate inquiry leaflet was given to the 1st year students of Culture and Tourism and of Psychology in order to examine their attitudes and knowledge. Thanks to the information technologies today it is possible to have quick, simple and selective access to all information. Internet, www, online communication, telecommunication etc. are only some of the achievements of the 20th century which help in learning process and which can turn any room into a classroom.
