Sažetak
The considerations of the different functions of modern tourism often tend to ignore its political functions. The authors will therefore point to a series of issues influencing today's peaceful mass migration which are so sensitive to either positive or negative political environment in both generating and host countries. The role of tourism will be considered within the system of collective security and co-operation and it will be represented as an important element in the promoting of the European identity, integration and unity within the existing associations.
