Sažetak
The Paper has generally emphasized the importance of detailed professional and scientific inventory and evaluation of existing Elements of identity in order to be able to bring to surface the elements, which has to be preserved within the Space/Place during particular Planning process of a certain level. Special attention was driven towards the Elements of Identity from natural environment as through their preservation a planner is preserving the Ecological identity of certain Place. At the end of the paper an example of several physical plans from Croatia was presented which have helped in preserving the ecological identity and still enable the economical development of the Place.
