Sažetak
Because of the specific characteristics of the construction activity – such as: immovability of most of the results of the construction work, complexity and size of the construction works, length of the construction processes, large share of manual work and large amounts of material on the site, seasonal importance of construction production, construction production has the specific feature of individuality and production on order – project management represents the optimization of management and coordination of human and material potentials throughout the duration of the project by using contemporary techniques of management with the purpose of realization of the set goals regarding the costs, deadlines, quality, and the satisfaction of all participants in the project. Organization of the project management must include nine groups of activities: Project scope management, Project integration management, Project time management, Project cost management, Project quality management, Project human resource management, Project communications management, Project risk, Project procurement management. Organization of the management is different for every project and it varies from case to case. Most frequent models of organizing project management are: A Matrix Organization and A Project-Oriented Organization. Good project management offers a number of advantages that manifest themselves in: - cost reduction thanks to better organization and rationalization of work ; - more certain realization of the project in time ; - improvement of the quality of work on the project ; - higher productivity ; - good references for taking charge of future projects. All this results in greater satisfaction of buyers, which is, indirectly, the basis for the increase of profit.
