Sažetak
There are seven registered national parks in Croatia, of which five are in the karst area, and two in the area of selection forests. The total area is 87797 ha. The paper will present the state of the forests and forestland, and the prescribed protection measures and management guidelines in terms of their multiple uses. A part of the area is strictly or partially protected, and a part is used for recreation and tourism. Scientific research has been carried out in the parks for several decades now.
