Sažetak
The paper presents the Feeder Service of Lošinjska plovidba, Rijeka focusing on its organization and functions , as well as on the circumstances which led to the establishment of the Feeder Service , which signalled a turning point in the container traffic in Croatian ports.It analyses the process of booking containers to be transported both into the Adriatic Sea and out of it and describes the inner organization of the service system , as well as the outside conditions affecting it.It also examines the problems of the Feeder Service is confronted with both in Croatian ports and in transhipment terminals (HUB points) and works out ways to optimise the service by pointing to inside and outside factors which affect the system.
