Sažetak
The continual presence of Ottoman military units in the hinterland of Dalmatia and their frequent military attacks on Trogir and Split strongly influenced various aspects of daily life in these two communes: political, economic, ecclesiastical and religious life. The consequences of the Ottoman pressure were also visible in the artistic production of these two communes particularly in the choices of new iconographic motives and programs.
