Sažetak
The Laboratory for Precise Measurement of Length of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture (LFSB) has participated regularly in the international comparison measurements in the field of length, angle and roughness since 1979 when the gauge blocks measurement results obtained by interference method were compared for the first time with the Italian National Institute IMGC - Torino. During the last few years, apart from participating within the EUROMET and EA, LFSB has participated regularly (every year) in informal comparisons with the laboratories from the neighbouring countries. The comparisons started on the basis of the joint scientific project with LTM in 1998, and today the comparison includes the following laboratories: LFSB – Croatia, LTM – Slovenia, STO Ravne - Slovenia, CERMET - Italy, MG - Italy, Mitutoyo - Italy, Mitutoyo – the Netherlands. The basic aim of these comparisons is to improve the measurement methods and the uncertainties of measurement of every laboratory based on the co-operation. The paper presents some of the more interesting results of comparisons.
