Sažetak
In this paper we highlight the key tasks involved in efficient Design Methodology for System Level Integration (SLI). System Level Integration is currently capable of producing chips with over tens of millions gates. To handle such complex design the design community has recognized the need and value of design with pre-designed and well-tested intellectual property (IP) blocks. The integration of such complex components, drastically reduces the design complexity and, thus, saves design time and allows a shorter time-to-market. Since the idea of IP reuse promises great benefits, it must be integrated into the system design methodology. Moreover, the use of IP components must be directly supported by the design models, the tools and the languages being used throughout the design process. Additionally, we report upon design methodology application to a standard receiver design.
