Sažetak
Purpose : The aim of this study was to assess the feasibility and safety of laparoscopic surgery for benign and malignant colorectal diseases. Methods and patients : A study was performed of patients with colorectal diseases treated by laparoscopy in Department of Surgery University hospital “ Sestre Milosrdnice” from 1996 to 2004.We noted operating time , conversions , intraoperative and postoperative complications , and postoperative length of hospital stay. Results : There were 30 laparoscopic colon and rectal procedures of which 27 were completed laparoscopically.Malignant disease was the indication for surgery in 90% cases. Conclusions : Clinical outcomes of laparoscopic colon and rectal surgery in this study are comparable to other recent studies.
