Phenological data of almond trees ; the Adriatic Coast
Sažetak
Phenological data on 21 meteorological stations along the Adriatic coast in the period 1981-1990 have been analysed. Mild winters and warm springs cause early commencement of vegetations on the entire Adriatic coast. Specially the almond culture has a small request towards sums of inactive temperatures (about 100 hours for air temperature below 6 C) and sums of active temperatures for commencement of blooming (about 100 C). Because of that the almond trees blossom early, on January or February, and many times early froest destroy their flowers. The onset of flowering lates from south to north and from insland to inland.
