Sažetak
This paper describes an endfire exponentially tapered slot antenna (it is called Vivaldi antenna). This antenna has been intended for the use in active natenna applications by direct integration with active devices. It can replace the conventional MIC dipole and resonator antennas with its distinct advantages of a sharper beam for the same order of gain. The antenna is light, compact, easily reproducible and could be integrated with rest of the MIC circuitry. The antenna operates from approximately 1.5 GHz to 5 GHz. It has a gain of 7 dB and a side lobe level of minimally 10 dB. The antenna is constructed on a low-permitivity substrate.
