Sažetak
The aim of this study was to compare subjective outcomes in allergic and nonallergic patients with chronic maxillary sinusitis after endosinusal treatment. 24 patients with chronic maxillary sinusitis were included. Patient rated CRS specific symptoms at inclusion and after 30 days. Sinus lavage was analysed for IL-5 concentration. Steroid/antibiotik endosinusal treatment was effective in reducing subjective sinusitis symptoms in allergic and nonallergic patients. Improvement rate is expected to be higher in patients with increasedlevel of IL-5 im maxillary sinus lavage.
