Sažetak
A motorway construction project can be characterized by a life cycle consisting of three phases: Design Phase, Implementation Phase and Operation phase. The first phase includes identification of needs, establishment of feasibility, preparation of proposal, estimation of resources that the organization is willing to commit development of basic budget and schedule, identification of project team and assignment of resources. Decision for equipment assignment for the motorway construction projects is an important part of the phase. This paper presents the Equipment Issues during Design phase of motorway construction project life cycle. Decision for equipment assignment is not only technical issue but also includes organizational, environmental, market and industry conditions. Several determinants have to be considered: • Determination of kind and size of equipment that might be used for the work. • Consideration of the money spent for equipment as an investment expecting to recover (with a profit), during useful life of equipment • Justification for rental equipment and equipment deliveries on time
