Sažetak
The Kubelka - Munk colour model describes the reflectance of coloured sample as a function of absorption spectrum K(λ ), a scattering spectrum S(λ ) and the reflectance spectrum of the substrate. However, due to its high simplification of multiple scattering theory, K - M theory showed several limitations in application to veriety of problems. K - M theory suggests a perfect linear relationship between K/S value and dyestuff concentration, which in practice only applies to low dye concentrations. However, practice showed that K - M theory was not acceptable in the range of light shades because of the substrate influence. The aim in this paper was to study a performance of K - M theory on light shades of yellow hue, dyed in concentrations 0, 5% and 2%. Also substrates of different surface structure characteristics (waving structure) were studied through the application of K - M theory in correlation with size of the measured surface and direction of measurement.)
