Sažetak
Introduction Diminution of pain in the treatment of patients with chronic low back pain after ineffective pharmacoterapy or in the cases of allergy to analgetics as well as gastrintestinal lesions or liver and kidney malfunction, includes certain noninvasive methods such as neurostimulation (TENS, acupuncture), some manual treatments and corrective excersises. Methods This paper discribes therapeutic procedure in our Pain Centar using noninvasive approach during the five years period with 5oo patients suffering from severe chronic low back pain syndrome resistant to pharmacoterapy and all kinds of physiotherapy. Some of the patients underwent previous operations, while in other cases neurosurgical operation were not necessary.VAS scale for testing of pain has been used changing from 9-3 or 2 points after treatment. Results 75 percent of the patients showed satisfactory improvement, 2o percent mild improvement, while no decisive improvement was noticed with 5 percent of our patients. TTS Fentanyl patches were tried on some of the patients out of therefore mentioned 5 percent group. Conclusion In our opinion noninvasive approach has considerable importance in overall treatment of low back pain syndrome, specially for the patients with heavy gastrointestinal problems or the patients with liver and kidney malfunctionas well as the patients with transplantated organs who are suffering from low back pain.
