Sažetak
High levels of cabin noise in small general aviation aircraft significantly deteriorate the quality of speech communications and potentially endanger the safety of flight. Several ground and in-flight cabin noise measurements on new generation Cessna 172R were made during various phases of flight. The results are analyzed and used for Speech Interference Level (SIL) calculations, in order to quantify the influence of cabin noise on speech communications between crew members.
