Sažetak
The paper deals with intermodulation distortion caused by nonlinearities in wideband CATV amplifiers. The intermodulation products and the harmonics were investigated depending on signal levels, number of input signals, and different kind of amplifier characteristics. The output spectrum of several types of amplifiers was measured with different input signals, and the amplifier nonlinear characteristic parameters were calculated. These parameters were used to simulate the distribution of amplifier output spectrum components on the basis of computer calculation. The results of the simulation were discussed, as well as the deviations of the results predicted by the theory from the measurements on real amplifiers.
