Sažetak
Systematic measurements of optical properties, concentration of major and minor chemicals and primary production during 1989-1992 enabled to determine trophic state of Sapanca lake in Turkey. Lake is dimictic and oligotrophic. Phosphate concentrations are below 0.1 uM. Subsurface chlorophyll-a maximum descends in late summer to 20-35 m below surface. The range of primary production is from 35 to 93 mgC/m^2 day.
