Sažetak
The distribution and morphometrics of Leuciscus souffia and its subspecies in France, Italy, Slovenia and Monte Negro have been described in many studies. However, all these studies have failed to include any data on the endemic population of Leuciscus souffia mulicellus from the Cetina River in Croatia. Twenty morphometrical characteristics of this population were determined on 190 samples of L. souffia muticellus at five stations in the Cetina River. The meristic characteristics were measured as: D II (8), A III (9), C II (9)+III (8), P II (13), II (7) ; 40-41 vertebrae and pharyngeal teeth. Comparisons with other L. souffia populations showed significant statistical (p<0.01) differences in 9 morphometric characteristics.
