This special issue of the journal Topology and Its Applications contains refereed papers of the ?Geometric Topology? Conference: Dubrovnik October 4-11, 1998. The Introduction shortly reviews the Conference and gives a tribute to Professor Sibe Mardešić, at the accasion of 50th anniversary of his research, who also launched this series of conferences and to whom is the volume dedicated.
