Štampar's unique role in the inauguration and implementation of the new healthcare ideology and healthcare strategy, as well as of the evolution of the scientific foundations for a Public Health Policy resulted with the establishment of the regional Institute of Health, Health Centers and the Rural Health Centres in the villages.
