Sažetak
Part I. The early beginnings of the gastrointestinal radiology. Dragutin NOVAK, Croatia Purpose: The aim is to show the early development of the gastrointestinal radiology, as the first step in the history of the gastrointestinal and abdominal medical imaging. Material and Method: In order to achieve an overview of the historical development of the gastrointestinal radiology, the original publications were studied and systemized in chronological order. The biographies of pioneers of the gastrointestinal radiology are illustrated with portait photographs. Results: The following historical landmarks are described and documented with corresponding illustrations.
