Sažetak
This paper offers an overview of the current situation considering bioethics and human rights in Central and Eastern Europe with an emphasis on education of biomedical professionals. Based upon the critical analysis of the past and present situation, including the future perspectives recognised in Croatia, it also discusses the possible ways and approaches to understanding and defining aims and tasks of bioethics and human rights in education of biomedical professionals on the undergraduate and postgraduate level, as well as for the members of ethics committees/research ethics committees etc.
