Sažetak
The role of isotopic substitution for spectroscopic and structural, as well as kincetic studies is well established. As far NMR spectra are concerned, among isotope effects due to deuterium effect on 13C shemical shifts are most important. They depend on geometrical parameters and constituting atomos of a molecule and one can differ them in amount, range and sign one from another. In vibrational infrared and Raman spectroscopy they have been for a long time to help in assignment of normal modes. Recently, they are very important in uderstanding vibrational dynamics, that is responsible for many chemical and physical properties of a molecule. A connection between changing in nuclear shielding (chemical shifts) and molecular vibrations upon isotopic substitution will be shown.
