Sažetak
The aim of the research was to test empirically the relationship between different forms of ownership and the enterprise performance measurement in transitional economy. The point is that different ownership structure could have another strategic and operational goals. It reflects on issue about the need for performance measurement and the use of corresponding indicators suitable to these goals. For this purpose, it is investigated whether according to the dependence of ownership structure and organisation form there is a difference, first in enterprise strategic goals and second in performance measurement system. In addition, it will be investigated if performance indicators adjustments with enterprise goals influence on performance efficiency. In transitional countries privatisation started ten years ago and it is to be expected that most enterprises have not high level of efficiency because of inadequate or lack of strategy. Related to that it is to presume that performance measurement system is not adjusted to the requirements of environment. The hypothesis, which will be investigated, is “ ownership concentration with clearly defined objectives and vision will have reflection on development of measurement system and enterprise performance” . For the purpose of the set hypothesis enterprises are grouped according to the ownership structure and the size of the enterprise. Questionnaire and statistical methods are used to analyse causality of the set variables - ownership structure and business strategy and performance measurement and results.
