Sažetak
Velika Ciglena geothermal field, located near the town of Bjelovar, with water temperature of 170°C, is favourable for electricity generation. Using binary power plant, the leaving temperature of the geothermal water from the heat exchanger is expected to be approximately 90°C with the flow of 10000 m3/d. Consequently, there is still a great amount of the heat energy that can be economically used. Construction of greenhouses is one of the possible solutions for further utilization, especially suitable for the northern, agricultural, part of Croatia. Potential floor area of greenhouses depends on the construction type of greenhouse, isolation material, design indoor and outdoor temperature and the temperature drop of the geothermal water. This data is essential to determine relation between the total heat power needed and optimal greenhouse design.
