Sažetak
The high prey consuption rates in Mesosagitta decipiens and Pseudosagitta lyra suggest that chaetognaths found between 100 and 1000 m depths are not limited by food. The presence of all reproductive stages at the time of sampling suggests that these species, as well as those from copepod-rich layers, have adapted to ambient conditions to the extent that they are able to reproduce successfully.
