Sažetak
As a part of our studies on heteroannularly substituted ferrocene amino acids we have recently published efficient synthesis of 1'-aminoferrocene-1-carboxylic acid (1a) and its derivatives 2a and 3a. The higher homologues 1b/1c and their N- and C-protected derivatives were prepared using the same general method via corresponding ester-azide 2. The crystal and molecular structures of derivatives 2b and 3c have been determined by the single crystal X-ray analysis.Compound 2b crystallizes in two polymorphic forms (2b' and 2b'') ; one of them (2b'') contains two crystallographically independent molecules. The molecules 2b' and 2b'' differentiate only in the conformation of (CH2)3NHAc part of the molecules exhibiting conformational polymorphism. The crystal structures are dominated by the intermolecular hydrogen bonds of the N-H...C=O type (2.820(1)A) 2.840(2)A) linking molecules into endless chains in all three structures. The chains are further interconnected by the C-H...O hydrogen bonds (3.483(1)-3.267(2) A) in 2b' and 3c, but not in 2b''.
