Sažetak
A definite line of thaught may be drawn between the study of human movement and locomotion and the methodology for this study coming from the field of biomedical engineering. The engineering approach to monitor human movement via measurement, such as, for instance, in the famous Marey's runner around the middle of the XIXth century, was later completed by the comprehensive inverse dynamic aproach, by Braune and Fischer, exemplifying the impact of physical and technical methodology to the study of movement phenomenon. Today we withness a rich and fruitfull collaboration between engineering, kinesiology and medicine in attacking locomotion problems.
