Sažetak
Internationally, the geo-traffic position of Croatia has been adequately evaluated compared to its Central-European and Mediterranean surrounding. Based on this valorisation, the most important Croatian traffic routes have been included in the European network of the main traffic corridors (X, V.b and V.c, as well as VII. - the Danube corridor). This integration has resulted in certain obligations, which have been determined by the international conventions and compliance with strict standards and rules signed by these conventions, with the purpose of harmonisation of the railway development and modernisationof the Croatian Railways.
