Sažetak
The muon spectrometer in the ATLAS detector will use the techology of drift-tube chambers for the precise measurement of the muon trajectories. An accurate knowledge of the spatial resolution in an individual drift tube is needed for the optimal track reconstruction. The spatial resolution in a drift tube is originally known with a precision of about 20 $\mu$m ; its precise value depends on the exact working parameters. This talk introduces an iterative method for the determination of the spatial resolution with a 1 $\mu$m precision. The method requires no external reference system, but uses only the muon tracks recorded in the drift-tube chamber. The studies with the Monte-Carlo and the test-beam data shall be presented.
