Sažetak
In searching for a way of thinking in which the human consciousness can use the new technologies constructively, rather than self-destructively, the question of the methodology of language use is inevitably raised, in non-virtual and in virtual organisations alike. The authors point out the relevance of semiotic critique of rational science in corporate reporting, bringing into question the monologic discourse characteristic of hierarchy-based organisational cultures ; they advocate the alternative model of network organising based on a multi-voiced culture which involves the different perspectives and interests of many stakeholders and social groups. Bakhtin's theory of speech as social praxis provides a tool for constructing new mental models, the realization of which relies on the assumption of the organising culture. As the material for pragmatic elaboration of these theses, the authors utilize the dialectic of language use in corporate reporting - with the purpose of subjugating the recipient, but also with the purpose of initiating change through battles of discourse with the communicator.
