Sažetak
The aim of this paper is to show the mode and the time during which the date-shell penetrates an intact rock immersed into the sea, as well as its development and the structure of its population in various periods. The research was done in the coastal area of the eastern part of middle Adriatic, in the area of the town of Split (Croatia), from 1986 to 1989, and repeated in September 2003.
