Sažetak
The phenomenon of environmental pollution is one of the major environmental problems that accompany the technological and economic development of humankind and the population growth in the world.Regarding the pollution of atmosphere by greenhouse gases, the scientists and experts agree in the assessment that the whole traffic activity, that is, the transport sector (mainly road transport), has a great share in their emission due to the great number of producet and used transport means.Therefore, the automotive industry plays an important role here, since it can have direct influence on the eco-system either by its technological innovations on vehicles, or by using alternative fuels in conventional engines.
