Sažetak
This research paper shall present the state of building stock in the Republic of Croatia from the viewpoint of its thermal quality and energy saving possibilities. The analysis of technical solutions for improving thermal quality of typical housing building built in the second half of 20th century will also be outlined together with the annalysis of costs and profits of such an renovation. The research paper also displays technical regulations regarding the energy saving, the governmental and institutional attempts to stimulate and implement such technical interventions, as well as the analysis of problems encountered during such implemetation
