Sažetak
Requirements in structural design in any regulation should cover: verification of stresses in structures (ultimate limit state) and verification of deformation (serviceability limit state). Mostly, if the structure satisfies serviceability limit state, ultimate limit state will be satisfied also. In particular cases (when member has an adequately depth), structure calculation will be limited just on verifications prescribed by ultimate limit state. In this paper all verifications are presented, in theory and in an example, which should be checked to prove serviceability limit state of RC tank (with water as a content). The proof of seviceability limit state is given according to three regulations: EC2 (serviceability verification = verification of stresses, deformations and cracking)), ACI regulation (serviceability verification = verification of deformations and cracking), PBAB (serviceability verification = verification of deformations and cracking). Tank whose serviceability limit state is verified, has a height of 11, o m, internal radius of 10, om, wall thickness of 0, 25 m. and base plate thickness (monolithically connected to the wall) of 0, 5 m., and should be used for soraging of drinkable water of 3100m3. Through the implementation of prescribed verification, serviceability limit state of Rc tank, was checked according to EC2 and ACI regulation. According to PBAB, cracking (which means serviceability too) requirement of this tank was not satisfied. The result can be used as a measure of requirement level which each of these regulation places on structures.
