Sažetak
Harmlessness of exercise training in residential myocardial infarction rehabilitation patients with left ventricular aneurism and intramural thrombus was analysed. Methods: Incidence of cardiovascular complications of 3-week exercise training was compared between consecutive patients with left ventricular aneurism and intramural thrombus (44 ; thrombus), those with no thrombus (85 ; aneurism), those with left ventricular systolic dysfunction with no aneurism (148 ; EF <40%) and those with normal systolic function (95 ; EF > 50%). Results: Incidence of complications was highest in patients with thrombus, but the difference did not reach statistical significance (NS). No one patient had died. One patient with a normal systolic function developed myocardial infarction. Incidences of cardiovascular complications were as follows: Thrombus(44 pts) Aneurism(85 pts) EF < 40%(148 pts) EF > 50%(95 pts) Heart failure 7% 8% 8% 2% Angina 14% 8% 5% 6% Serious arrhythmias5% 2% 3% 8% Total 25% 19% 16% 17% Intensity of exercise was highest in patients with normal systolic function and lowest in the group with thrombus (p<0.01). Conclusion: Appropriately dosed exercise training was found to be enough safe for patients with cardiac intramural thrombus.
