Sažetak
The present paper compares English indirect conditional clauses and their Croatian counterparts in order to determine the extent of cross-linguistic similarities and/or differences. The paper is organized in two main parts: a theoretical introduction and a contrastive analysis. The theoretical part of the paper provides the typology of the English indirect conditional clauses as well as the description of each category in turn. The contrastive analysis is based on the principle of formal and lexical correspondence between the clauses in the source and the target language.
