Sažetak
Although a relatively short period in bioethical history, right now it can already serve as a source of significant indicators of propulsion and elevation of a new scientific discipline, but also to point out to us particular oversights in the process of constituting bioethics as an interdisciplinary science. According to its orientation, bioethics has from the very beginning aspired to realize the character of a dialogic discipline and today, generally accomplished this. There are reasonably legitimate reasons for the long lasting exclusion of certain sciences from bioethical discourse ; among other things, the domination of humanists (philosophers, theologians) and biomedicine in bioethical discussions, probably contributed to the insufficient inclusion of social sciences members, mainly sociologists. However, in the last century we observe and follow the first positive tendencies in realizing a qualitative collaboration of bioethics and sociology. Throughout this work we shall attempt to present the central issues of a particular sociology of death and dying (with special emphasis on the phenomenon of social death), and subsequently, based on produced facts, attempt to uncover the role and importance of mentioned topics surrounding clinical bioethics.
